Blue Mountains, Splashed Ink

A range of mountains built from pools of blue and black poured across the paper, with a few small boats on the water and a strip of far shore drawn in the moments before the color set.
This is painting with the paper tilted. Ink is laid down wet, then blue is poured into it and steered by lifting one corner of the sheet, so the two pigments meet and separate on their own. The hard edges where the blue dried against the ink are the record of that process, and no two passes ever come out alike.
It is a large, quiet picture that wants a wall of its own and a room with some daylight: the blue goes dull under warm bulbs and comes alive in the morning. The gilt frame is slim enough to stay out of the way.
Offered as a decorative painting, made by hand. The inscription and seals are part of the object and are not offered as a record of who painted it.
