Waterfall Through Peach Blossom

A white thread of water falling the full height of the paper through banks of pink blossom and black rock. The one picture on this site that is about a single color.
The pink is applied as hundreds of small dabs over an ink underpainting, so the blossom seems to sit in front of the rock rather than on it. The waterfall is not painted at all; it is the paper left bare, with the rock either side darkened to make it read as light.
In a room it behaves like a piece of color rather than a picture, and it is the one we would suggest for a space that needs warming up. The tall format takes a narrow wall.
